JG's PRESENTS, PAJAMA'S, and PIZZA with SANTA

This year, on Saturday, December 8, 2018, they hosted their third annual "Presents, PJ's, and Pizza with Santa". This event is a toy drive for the Garrett County chapter of Toys for Tots, run through the US Marine Corp League. JG's opens their doors at noon, inviting families to come in for an afternoon of games, face painting, pizza, cookies, and of course SANTA! They offer a limited menu with the kiddos in mind. It's a free afternoon, they only ask that you bring an unopened toy to donate to the efforts of Toys for Tots, which provides toys to social services to be distributed locally in Garrett County.

JG's Owner and Operator, Kate Collins didn't get a final count, but said that the two hour event yielded 4 over-sized boxes plus 2 large bags of donated toys. "This was a very successful event! We strive to give back to this amazing community. In addition to the Santa party, we had a grown up PJ party for Hospice on Saturday night. We collected $1000 plus some wish list items. None of this would have been possible without the incredible staff at JG's pub, our volunteers, and of course the customers that support us and our community efforts!" - Kate Collins. Kate gives special thanks to Chet Friend, Debbie Recker, Amanda Hauser, Jenny, Sean, & Maeve Eiswert, Lisa & Jazlyn Murray, Emily Helms, Paula Glotfelty and Rachel Harper, Stephanie Cornish for the amazing balloon displays, and to Ed Householder and Mike Maddox from The Marine Corps Toys for Tots.
