Deep Creek Lake is the largest inland body of water in the U.S. state of Maryland. It covers approximately 3,900 acres and has 69 miles of shoreline. The lake is home to a wide variety of freshwater fish and aquatic birds. The Wisp ski resort and Swallow Falls state park are located nearby.
Here are Deep Creek, we have 4 distinct seasons. We have attractions and adventures that are unique and exciting. And just as these seasons and adventures offer a particular experience, there are so many special homes in our area. In this post, I am going to highlight some of my favorite lake area homes that each offer a one-of-kind feeling for those who enter. When I first have the opportunity to talk to someone about buying a home at Deep Creek Lake, I ask them what they love about the lake, what do they like to do while they're here: are the particular restaurants they visit or do they cook at home, do they like to ski, boat, or both, hike at the state parks or play volleyball in their yard? These types of questions help me begin to paint a picture of their perfect lake home. Then there are the more common questions: how many bedrooms are you looking for, baths, square feet, land? How much time will you be spending at your DCL home? Do you plan to rent it when you're not using it? More important than the answers to these questions is the answer to the "Why?" that I ask in conjunction with each of these inquires. The answer to "why?" will open up options that buyers may not have considered. Your favorite Deep Creek Lake home may be something that you never would have looked at, but with the right agent, you'll see a side of the lake that you never imagined you'd fall for. There are many different types of homes and ways to own a Deep Creek Lake property, I hope you'll get a sense of some incredible options as you browse the properties in this post!
